Hey, y'all,
So, every time I think about writing, I think about my latest characters. However, writer's block has been pretty severe lately. Of course, it doesn't help that I have absolutely no time to write these days. Hopefully, that will change immensely, and soon!! So, please pray that it will! Thanks! :)
This weekend, I was looking over a book I wrote a few years ago called "Changed." I'm sure the bio of the book is in my blog somewhere. You can actually see the full bio of it on my actual website: http://www.booksjmg06.webs.com. Check it out! I haven't anyone sign my guestbook yet either, haha.
Anyways, I was checking out "Changed." And when you see the book's bio, you're going to wonder what I was thinking when I was writing it. Wellllll....at the time I couldn't get the story out of my head. And I know it might not be the most realistic kind of story, but hey, what if it actually happened one day? And showed up in your local newspaper? Hmmmmm??? So, if it could happen to Jack Hayes, it can happen to Mack Taylor, who was the second fugitive in this RV on this trip. He is also a new Christian and just exploring the goodness of life instead of the evils of it, and wah-la, he meets an extraordinary woman named Faith Marshall who shows him all about what the Christian life is all about! I'm so excited for this book. Like its predecessor, I will more than likely add thrills and chills inside it. I will see what the good Lord has planned for it. I consider my books thriller-inspirational anyways, these days.
As for another book idea that I've kept putting over for years now, I'm stumped, and maybe all of you could help me. There is this book called "In Remembrance" that I started writing my sophomore year of college after taking a college history class where, in one tiny topic, we as a class learned about the great tragedy of the Triangle Factory Fire in New York City in the early 1900s. At the time, I was so flabbergasted about the tragedy, that I wondered, Why hasn't anyone written a story about this or about these women? Why isn't this historical event better known throughout history? Is it that no one cares or simply that since it just happened in a couple hours at one tiny part of NYC, it really doesn't matter anymore? Twenty-some innocent victims--all women and immigrants looking to start a brand new life in the USA--were either burned alive or died in the Triangle Factory Fire (a clothes factory.) The supervisors were cruel, locked all the doors, and the people who built the building were so stupid that they were still building the elevators at the time. Many women were burned alive or died from smoke entering their lungs--but hundreds others plunged to their deaths from the eight or nine story floors, falling to the sidewalks below to the crowd's great horror.
Now wouldn't it be cool if I wrote a book about it? Well, I started a book about it, but I was too timid to write it, because I already knew how it was going to end--in tragedy. So, should I finish the book? I'm really reluctant to. I want to tell about two immigrant young women's lives, immigrating from Italy. Should I finish the book, everyone? It would be terrible, but the ending, I'd planned, was going to have a bittersweet ending instead of a terrible sad ending.
Those are my writing thoughts for this month. I'm still plugging away off and on on the other books. I got more of the Japanese book written, and I finally figured out what my main guy character's past is going to be, so it should be smooth from here on out, hopefully, if writer's block doesn't come again, haha.

WRITING TIP: Take a walk. Nature always gives us ideas about writing, characters' lives, and the world through their eyes.
Take care and God bless!! Ta and TTYL!! :D
